Ultimate Grogu Animatronic Is What We’ve Been Waiting For
Today the Ultimate Grogu animatronic goes up for pre order, and this thing is on a completely different level.
It was built using direct reference from the actual on set puppets, and it shows in all the little details. The weight, the soft body, the way his ears catch light, even the tiny movements in his face all add up to something that feels alive instead of manufactured. With hundreds of animations, multiple sensors, and reactive behavior, he doesn’t just sit there looking good, he responds to you, reacts to sound, reaches up to be picked up, and even uses the Force to pull his little cookie closer like a stubborn kid who knows exactly what he wants.
I already have the Hot Toys Grogu that I bring with my R2 unit to comic cons, and people lose their minds over how real he looks just sitting there. That alone has been worth it. But seeing this version move, react, and actually interact takes it to a whole different place. It feels like the jump from a statue to a character. The idea of upgrading to something that can shift its weight, look up at you, and basically demand to be picked up is kind of unreal. This is the one I’ve been waiting for without even realizing it, and I can’t wait to swap him in and watch people’s reactions.
