Stern Pushes Star Wars Pinball Into Hyperspace: Fall of the Empire
If the Rebel Alliance had a breakroom at Echo Base, there’s a very good chance a machine like this would have been sitting in the corner.
Stern Pinball’s Star Wars: Fall of the Empire Premium Edition drops players straight into the galaxy’s most legendary battles. One moment you’re wrapping a tow cable around an AT-AT by firing the spiral ramp just like Luke’s snowspeeder attack on Hoth, and the next you’re lowering the shields on Death Star II to trigger a multiball assault to save the galaxy. The adventure keeps moving as you blast TIE fighters, fall into Jabba’s Sarlacc Pit, battle stormtroopers, and escape Cloud City by launching the Millennium Falcon into hyperspace.
The machine is loaded with more than a thousand film and audio assets from the saga, the iconic John Williams score, and custom C-3PO call-outs from actor Chris Bartlett. It all runs on Stern’s new SPIKE 3 platform with a large HD display, upgraded audio system, improved Wi-Fi support, and wireless headphone capabilities. With vibrant hand drawn artwork, Darth Vader inspired modes, and a highly collectible Limited Edition run honoring the original 1977 release of Star Wars, this might be the closest most of us will ever get to personally helping the Rebel Alliance defeat the Empire… one silver ball at a time.
