Update: The Death Star Wall Panel Lights Are Here – My Experience So Far

I received the Death Star Wall Panel Lights I pre-ordered and set them up. I bought two sets, and they’re sturdier than I expected, which was a nice surprise. However, they’re still a bit wonky and touchy in some areas.

The set comes in four pieces, and the seams where they connect are quite obvious—not seamless as I had hoped, but I expected that. One of the top panels in particular has been a bit finicky. It tends to go in and out on its own, and sometimes it even turns on without the lower half being powered. I tried switching it with the panel from the second kit, but the issue persisted. Fortunately, the top piece from the second set works perfectly. Also, one of the remotes didn’t work at all, but since I bought two sets, I lucked out—the working remote operates both panels simultaneously.

In terms of appearance, the panels look decent in a room or office, but I’m planning to use them at my booth during comic cons to help draw attention from afar. I think they’ll be a great way to stand out. I’ll post photos of how they look in action at my next show in a few weeks, so stay tuned!
