LEGO 75440: AT-AT vs Snowspeeder Is Star Wars at Its Best
The Battle of Hoth has always been one of my favorite moments in Star Wars, and seeing it captured this cleanly in LEGO form stopped me mid scroll.
I somehow missed this AT-AT with the Snowspeeder when it first came out, and the moment I saw it I was pulled straight back to my childhood. I have always wanted a LEGO AT-AT, but the full scale versions were always just too big for my taste. I prefer smaller sets that look great on a desk or bookshelf alongside other objects, and this one finally hits that sweet spot while still feeling iconic.
I absolutely love this set, and it feels like a perfect tribute to the Battle of Hoth from The Empire Strikes Back. The AT-AT looks heavy and imposing, the Snowspeeder is frozen mid attack with its tow cable wrapped around the legs, and the whole scene tells a story without needing minifigures or gimmicks.
